Very ineresting for those who want to really know about Bucovina's monasteries! Built at the request of a great Moldavian leader, Anstasie Crimca, known for his wisdom and high education at the time (the 16-th century). It has a unique architectural style and it's now part of a great nuns orthodox monastery. Bets time to visit during the summetime.

It's one of the most unusual monasteries. It's a fortress surrounded by an apple tree plantation and is very peaceful. It is the tallest monastery in Bucovina.

This monastery looks like a citadel. It is the tallest one in Bucovina. It is built from stones and looks very impressive - like a big ship! It is not one of the oldest from the monasteries in Bucovina, but no less impressive. It is a must in the monastery tour! It's crazy when you think it is 42m high... More

If you are travelling in Romania by car you should stop to this monastery. Is like a well preserved fortress. The nuns are polite and they try to help you, if you need help. It is a place to rest your mind and soul.

From all the monasteries in Bucovina this one is my favorite. It is a place to rest your soul and find peace. Everything about this monastery is impressive, the size, architecture, the protective wall with the towers. The monastery has also a museum. I was in Bucovina before, but always I only visited the well known monasteries, and omitted this... More

A wonderful stop if you have a car, this monastery is truly a convent. The nuns are mainly kind and chatted with us, the wishing well was a hit with my kids as it actually brought up potable water, the church is a gem, the rituals of the monastery were intriguing to watch, and there was plenty to do for... Our first on a day tour around the painted monasteries was charming and peaceful. The interior was lovingly cared for. Built in 1609 it is in a lovely setting in the countryside. Dragomirna is the tallest church in Moldavia. Exquisite and intricate carvings on the church tower. Not as well known as some others but shouldn't be missed.

Dragomirna monastery is a historical monument and a working nuns monastery. Proportions are unusual making it seem narrow. A beautiful area and close by Suceava
