When we arrived at Pongas Falls, I was wondering why Pongas was below the Top 5 destinations in Sagada here in TripAdvisor. This is preposterous! The scenic three-pronged falls is equally breath-taking to behold to its northern partner (Bomod-ok Falls). The trail leading to the falls is part cultural tryst to the Sagada locals. You would get to observe how... More

Known also as the twin falls, although according to my guide, there are a total of 7 falls in this area and the most know is Pongas, i think next to Bomod-ok which is situated in another town/baranggay. During the summer season, if you can fake it till you make it, you can actually climb (crawl) your way up top.... More

If you're planning to leave Sagada at noon time, it is best to visit Pongas fall for it it is a good option for half-day hike. At jump off point from the town proper you'll see rice terraces. From there you'll start to walk. You'll pass by the small village in the valley where every person you'll met will greet... More

Pongas Falls is less challenging and tiring than Bomod-ok Falls. And its beauty and majesty is not comparable to the latter. It has several tiers and drops which makes the hike more unique. Depending on your pace, it can be reached from 30 to 45 minutes, with a short stop at a village. At the jump off point, you can... More

We are in our late 50's ... We managed the walks and steps with lots of rest and rewarded by a view of the falls. We could have seen a better view further up but we had to say no to more climbing...we were just contented viewing from a little distance.

Is one of the top attractions in Sagada. I booked a guided tour to visit the falls. Its really worth and exhausting. So better you heck your physical condition before. Takes you around 4-5 hours. First climbing down to the valley. You'll pass by many rice terraces and you can visit the small village in the valley. You can learn... More

An alternative to the Big Falls is Pongas. It may not be that grand during the dry season but the cool waters is still great. Unlike Bomod-ok there is no big pool to swim on.

The trek and hike was exhausting but the view and the water of the falls will take all that tiredness away. It was oh so worth it and we're lucky our guide took us there instead of Bomod-ok haha

Going to this falls sometimes catches your breath because I think its about 1.5 km hiking from the main road and there is a concrete steps going up that's about a hundred steps which would make your knees buckle especially if we are not used to it. But altogether the scenery (the rice terraces and the people we've met) will... More
