A 4 hour round-trip kayak trip to the island's swamp where you can see birds, turtles and if you are lucky Cayman. A guide is not required, but will help you spot more wildelife.

A pleasant little kayak trip. If you like seeing turtles, caimans, monkeys, and birds, this is a good 3-hour tour to do.

If you're planning to do the trip, definitely get some arm workout in ahead of time, it can be tough! We started about 50 minutes from the entrance to the river, and when we arrived it was quite shallow. Our guide was great and on...More

The multiyear drought in Nicaragua /Central America has created many issues including the disappearance of over 100 rivers including this lush river eco-system. Locals told me that as soon as it rains the lake and river fills up and farmers will be happily planting their...More
