We had the adventure of a lifetime on a 5 day/4 night tour from Marrakech to Fez with Wild Morocco. The booking process was very easy, as Emily was super responsive to emails and receptive to customizing a trip for us. We wanted a nice mix of adventure and luxury, and we got that with this trip!

From the moment that our amazing driver Khalid picked us up in Marrakech, we felt super well taken care of. In each town and oasis we visited, he made sure that we were able to see what we were interested in, arranged for trusted guides to show us around (visiting Kasbah Telouet in Ounila Valley and hiking around Tinghir next Todra Gorge were highlight).

Of course, the most amazing day was that spent in Erg Chigaga. Khalid navigated the vast desert drive with aplomb and an uncanny sense of directions and brought us to fossil fields because we had expressed interest, before driving through the dunes and dropping us at our amazing desert camp. We were greeted by Hussein, who made sure we were warm, comfortable, set us up with a camel trek to watch the sunset at the highest dune (a breathtaking climb to the top in multiple ways) and served us a delicious dinner. We were then treated to a little concert at the fire before bed, which felt intimate and casual, as we were the only guests at the camp. We loved visiting during low season, as we did not see another guest the entire time we were in the desert and truly felt the solitude of walking amongst the dunes of the sand sea. The nights were certainly cold (below freezing), but plenty of layers, a good down jacket, and the thick blankets provided made for a comfortable sleep.

Thank you Khalid, Wild Morocco, and all the associates guides and riad hosts for giving us the loveliest adventure! We will never forget it.

We had a wonderful experience with Wild Morocco. We chose to do a 5 day tour from Marrakech to the Erg Chigaga dunes, with a two night stay in the wonderful luxury camp run by Bobo. This was a family trip to reward ourselves and our 11 and 16 year olds for a hard work, sun-deprived winter in London. What an amazing trip and breath taking views! Emily helped me plan the trip and gave me great advice. The trip is not a short one: from Marrakech to Erg Chigaga is a 9-10 hour trip (one way) which we split in two (on the way down we stopped at Ait Benhaddou and on the way back we slept in Agdz); this worked very well for us as our older children could manage a 5-6 hour drive per day. I would suggest anyone who makes it to Erg Chigaga to stay for 2 nights at the camp...there is so much to take in and experience, and one night is not enough! When we arrived we made it to see the sunset but we were quite tired after the long journey. On the second evening we had a calmer walk to the tallest dune and a nice chat with the lovely camp manager Bashir who brought some wine for us to enjoy while watched the sunset. The children had much more energy for sand boarding! In our journey to the desert our driver Cheikh made us feel safe and well taken care of, in each part of the trip. He drove safely and seemed to know every stone in the Sahara! He helped us plan our stops but always left us a choice. Most importantly, he is an amazing person who can fluently speak English, French and Italian and engages in great conversations. He is super knowledgeable and we learnt so much from him, about Morocco, the Sahara and his tribe “les hommes bleus”. We only feel sorry as we did not dare asking for a photo with him! But we are sure we will meet again, as our next big family trip will probably be another tour of Morocco (now the sea!). Thanks Cheikh, Emily, Bobo, Bashir and his team at the camp. Unbelievable family experience from beginning to end!! From the moment Khalid picked us up from the airport , until he dropped us off at the airport 10 days later, we felt completely safe and very well cared for. I must add that pretty quickly Khaled went from being a complete stranger to being a part of our family who we hugged good bye and kept in touch with still today via social media!

Whether it was Khalid our driver/tour guide, the camel guides, or the hotel staff they were all informative, kind, patient and attentive to our needs at all times. We had no idea what to expect as we took our three kids half way around the world but not only did we feel completely safe, we experienced things first hand like hiking through the desert, eating Tagine (local cuisine) , riding camals and dancing at a night club! We were basically immersed in the Moroccan culture from day one and were all very sad to have to say good bye.

We especially would like to give Khalid a shout out as he was not only very professional at his job but very informative, helpful, courteous and truly cared about making sure our trip to Morocco was one we would never forget.

I highly recommend this trip for any family looking for a fun, safe, and memorable experience!

My boyfriend Jack and I did the 4 day tour from Marrakesh to Erg Chigaga (with nights in Argz and Ait Ben Haddou).

The choices for accommodation were wonderful and we were looked after at each location with attentive service and tasty food. We particularly enjoyed our afternoon and evening in the desert camp and were lucky to be the only guests there that night. We enjoyed a camel ride, followed by a climb to the top of the largest dune to enjoy the sunset. We then had a delicious lemon chicken tagine by candlelight. Such an incredible experience!!

Special thanks to our amazing guide and driver Khalid who helped to make our trip extra special! He handled the off-road driving with ease and was friendly, attentive, knowledgable and made our hours in the car pass faster with stories and jokes. He was very flexible with our schedule to allow for additional time in the desert. He also ensured that we stopped at nice restaurants for lunch each day.

Once in a lifetime trip which we will certainly be recommending to family and friends!
Thanks Wild Morocco!

I traveled with a friend for a private guided tour to Erg Chicaga, the big dunes. We opted to walk the entire journey, about 20 kilometers per day for 3 days, and hiked up the big dunes on the last day. The meals were massive and delicious, and we slept under the stars every night, with a choice of sleeping in a tent. Going in December was perfect - not hot during the day, and not too cold at night (although, I recommend a sleeping bag). Our guides Brahim, Muhammad, and Hatar were really fun to be around, and I'd recommend this trek to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

We spent five nights and six days trekking in the Sahara desert, and from the very first contact, we received five-star service from Wild Morocco. We enthusiastically recommend their tours to anyone who would like to make the most out of their visit to this beautiful country.
Wild Morocco made the Sahara Trek even more memorable thanks to the knowledge and kindness of their expert guide, Brahim. Morocco is rich in nomad tradition and Brahim brought the history to life with stories of his family’s nomad heritage. We had a lot of fun finding desert treasures along our trek and he kept us going in our barefoot climb up Erg Zahar for sunset!
The chef, Ali, took great care with every meal to be sure it was delicious and presented beautifully. With every setting, we felt we had the best table anywhere in Morocco.
Between Brahim, Ali, Yahya and Emily, we were in good hands with Wild Morocco. They answered every question and were always a step ahead of us anticipating anything we might need. We are grateful they created such an amazing experience for us. We recommend them to anyone looking for an unforgettable way to learn about and enjoy Wild Morocco.

June 2023
Our trip (for two people) was wonderful. We booked a 3 day, 2 night trip to Erg Chigaga in Jun 2023. We only had time for this, but if we had extra time I would have loved to do an extra night in the desert. Our guide was Chikh, who was very knowledgable about Morocco, the sites we visited, and was great at communicating his knowledge and opinions! Whenever we asked a question, he would be able to answer it well. Arriving at the desert was magical, and the accommodation there was quite comfortable (we did the "normal" option, not luxury). Shared bathroom which was clean, allows for privacy between bathroom and shower stalls, and has a pretty good shower for being in middle of the desert! The staff at the desert camp was very friendly and welcoming, and the chicken tagine they cooked was delicious. Camel ride for 45 mins to a very high dune to watch the sunset, it was fantastic. When we went, there were only 3 couples staying at the camp, which was nice, it wasn't crowded. There may be more people there in more peak tourist months. The staff played music very well under the Saharan night sky, where you can see so many stars, it was beautiful. Chikh also did a great job at navigating the 2.5 hour off-road drive to the desert camp, which is quite a great experience if you have not done off-road 4x4 driving before. If you are prone to motion sickness, prepare accordingly as the terrain will necessarily be very bumpy.

We had a wonderful experience in the desert with Wild Morocco and highly recommend them! Their staff are friendly, helpful and thoughtful, the food is absolutely wonderful, and the tents and beds very comfortable. Our guided two hour walk through the desert was absolutely breath-taking after which we had tea in a nomad’s camp! It was a fabulous experience! We ended the day with a camel ride to a high dune to watch the sunset and then another delicious dinner followed by Berber drumming and singing. It was a memorable visit to a very special place!! We loved being in the desert and highly recommend Wild Morocco.

My husband and I took a private 5 day desert excursions and we absolutely loved it. We had an amazing, air conditioned Toyota SUV for the duration and Miki as our drive. Miki was simply amazing, an excellent and safe driver through some of the toughest terrains. He knew everyone and you felt safe with him. He would stop when we wanted photos and was amazing and coffee breaks, toilet breaks and picking out amazing lunch spots and giving us overviews of where we were travelling through. Wild Morocco put an amazing itinerary for us and even provided us with a surprise wine bottle at our desert camp. They picked/booked fantastic accommodation during our 5 days. We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic desert excursion in Morocco!

Wow! There are no words to describe the experience with Wild Morocco. My best friend and I did an eight day tour starting in Marrakesh to the Atlas Mountain region, Todra Gorges, Dades Gorges, Ait Ben Haddou, Sahara, Fes, and Chefchaouen. It was a once in a lifetime experience. From the get go, Yahya provided an impeccable itinerary and was open to tailoring it for our requests. Our tour guide was Khalid and he is the most professional, friendly, personable, and knowledgable tour guide I have ever had. He made an already 5 star experience become a 7 star one!
Also Wild Morocco picked the best accommodation for our stays with very unique hotels that have amazing food, services, and views. I cannot recommend Wild Morocco highly enough. This is the best way to experience all that Morocco has to offer.
