Our small group was introduced to Ibrahim Ait Rhanimi, proprietor of Sahara Gallery Rissani by our guide Mohamed of Around Morocco Tours. After visiting the Berber Museum at Jardin Magorelle, I was intrigued by the Berber broach. Ibrahim not only showed us this treasures, but also gave us background how the pieces were acquired and from which tribe. There was no pressure to purchase, which gave us an opportunity to explore his amazing collections, examine and inquire about the pieces.. Majority of our group bought antique Berber or Bedouin jewelry, which will recollect our amazing experience in Morocco. If you are in the South of Morocco looking for something special, I recommend a visit to Sahara Gallery Rissani, phone #00212 06 62 15 30 08.

During my first visit to Morocco, I had the pleasure of visiting this gallery! What a gem of a place! It is infused with the essence of Berbere, a wonderland of beauty and history! Ibraham was a gracious host/proprietor whose knowledge was invaluable. I bought a beautiful necklace which I love! I would highly recommend stopping here during your travels!

Our group was taken to this shop when going through Rissani.
The owner was very hospitable for sure - offering us all Berber Whiskey ;)
Downstairs is the main gallery and there are thousands of pieces. He sat some of our group around a table was patiently started pulling out pieces so everyone could see some of his vast collection.
There was never any pressure to buy which was nice. I bought the most gorgeous necklace - with a fatima hands and berber stones and design. I was pleased!
A definite stop for anyone who wants authentic Berber jewelry while in Morocco!
