Had a nice visit with kids in tow to this Kasbah which is within the town of Ouarzazate. Walkable from a few local hotels. It's a beautiful building but probably better appreciated with a knowledgeable guide since there are no signs explaining historical/cultural/architectural details of the place. Not overly crowded with hordes of tourists compared to some of the other... More

This Kasbah is in the city centre and easy to access. If you already had a guided visit in another kasbah, there is no need to pay for a guide. They all repeat the same general information.

This is the only kasbah we officially toured on our visit to Morocco. Not because it was the best, simply because it was the first. It is interesting to hear the information about the way people lived. The fact that 3 wives lived in one area and the 'favourite' wife was nearby, is something I will reserve comment on...

We visited the Kasbah and had very good explanations from a local guide. If you are staying there or even just going for a day, it is worth having the visit as it doesn't last long and you learn a lot about the history of the region and the morocco!

After you pay admission (nominal) you will be approach by a guide. I do recommend hiring one as our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Kasbah. They are restoring it so you get to see how the floors were made.

We toured this kasbah as a part of our Gate 1 tour itinerary. We were first taken through the Taourirt village where people currently live and work and that led into the Kasbah Taourirt. Definitely do both! I was most fascinated with the colorful doors of the village. The kasbah was equally impressive with its carved designs on the exterior... More

Its on every itinerary so Im sure you wont miss it but make sure u see it. Fabulous old kasbah on a small hilltop area. Many movies have been filmed here included Gladiator among others. If it is hot bring some water, the climb isnt really too bad but is very exposed to the sun

We were advised not to hire any of the tour guides at the entrance and they worked pretty hard to present their case but we held our ground and we're glad we did. Two rooms had some tiles remaining and we were out in about 20 minutes. After seeing the Koranic School in Marrakech and Ait Ben Haddou we found... More

visit to this Kasbah was a wonderful experience we had. Local families living toward the rear of Kasbah are keen to show visitors around and o information – for a fee.

As we only had few evening hours in Ouarzazate some local people offered to take a look at this place. No matter that the museum was closed, we had a great night walk and enjoyed colorfully-lighted architecture.
