Gorgeous ruin. Easy walk to the top. Probably the only kasbah that is so easily accessible and well preserved

The kasbah is very exotic place for this part of Morocco and an example of the "mud" local architecture. The ancient spirit of the past is all around!

Hurray, a really good local guide who knew what he was talking about and created enthusiasm for his subject. This Kasbah has great interiors which go along with its history. It should be an essential element of any Ouarzazate itinerary.

The highlight of Ouarzazate for me, the hike up and along the Kasbah was delightful. Tons of photo ops, easy conversations with shopkeeps, a rewarding view and a little exercise to try to (even come close) to burning off some of Morocco's delicious calories.

This is a very nice kasbah - one of the finest I think. We were a group and had a great guide. It is on the other side of the street from the Musee du Cinema and makes a fine combination. Allow one hour.

This kasbah is actually still used as hotel or restaurant. You can visit it and look around the kasbah itself, which is beautifully restored only for a small part outside

I visited this wonderful place during sunset and it was perfect choice! On the way from Ouarzazate pass this Kasbah, go across the bridge and climb the hill across the valley (5 min climb) and you got the most stunning view you could wish for!...More

One should make this an essential visit on the 'to do list when in Ouarzazate. A historical and naturally beautiful place.

This fortress belonged to the family of Thami El Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech from 1912 to 1956. It is located on a dominant position, overlooking the Wadi Tifoultoute. There are stairs lead to the upper floor, inhabited by large equally desolate rooms, then to the...More

The main entrance is opposite the (rather disappointing) film museum. This is really very good especially with local guide. You need to be fairly fit - lots of scrambling up and down narrow stairs and passageways. Some of it is genuinely old -some has been...More
