He sent me from Fez to Chefchaouen and walked through Chefchaouen. Waj can speak Japanese and is very kind. I had the best time. I highly recommend!

The eight-day tour that our guide Waj and driver Jamal provided is one of my favorite travel experiences to date. We visited Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou, the Merzouga Desert, Fes, and Chefchaouen. While my family typically doesn't use travel agencies or tour guides, I know that we wouldn't have been able to enjoy our trip as much as we did without the Morocco Arukikata tour. Waj and his team helped with the planning of the trip and provided much-welcomed commentary and answers to our many questions throughout the duration of the tour. Our driver was excellent and without him, we wouldn't have been able to see as much of Morocco as we did. Everything that this tour provided improved our trip and I highly recommend their services. I'm looking forward to someday soon being able to return and see even more of Morocco!…

In looking on the internet for Moroccan travel groups, I came across Morocco Arukikata and e-mailed them along with about ten other places. We also got some referrals from friends. I liked the responses and suggestions that Waj, the owner of Morocco Arukikata proposed. There were two of us, and we wanted a 2-week private tour that included the tourist attractions but also local flavor. When we selected Morocco Arukikata, I was nervous because I was not going with what people would have said was a “known quantity” or one that was recommended by a friend. But boy, did Morocco Arukikata deliver! We had a fantastic tour that was customized to our needs. When Waj found we were interested in something, for instance, buying a rug, he made sure we visited places that sold rugs. Both Waj and Ashley, our guides, spoke very clear English (I have been on tours where I have had a hard time understanding the guides. In fact, Ashley was from the US.) We visited the tourist places—the mosque in Casablanca, the Medina in Fez, Aït Benhaddou, Volubilis, camels in the desert—but we also had a private bread-making class in a mountainous village using an outdoor fire oven, a cooking class in a local home, a visit to a local market where there were no tourists, etc. In addition, our tour was in March 2020—just as the world started reacting to the COVID-19. We did have to cut our visit a few days short in order to get a flight out (we left about a week after Morocco closed their airports). All during that time, we felt ‘cared for’ by Waj and Ashley who listened to what we need, helped us get information, and continued our tour as long as we were willing (until most businesses was closed down.) But, now back in California “staying at home”, I have wonderful memories of the colors and uniqueness of Morocco — and feel I have made new friends.…

Waj was able to set up a guide for me last minute. The guide was very knowledgeable and easy to talk with. I was shown many areas of the city and given tons of history, it was great for the short amount of time I had in Fes. Would recommend to friends and family!
