Wonderful medina. Big enough to get lost in, but laid back & relaxed. Great spots to eat & people watch.

It is magical, especially early morning in the, when the place is just stirring to life, and sleepy school kids are stumbling down the blue washed streets munching on pancakes. The mountain views are great, and there are some really good places to eat -...More

Chefchauonen was the first town we stayed in on our trip to Morocco which was a real insight into what to expect in the country. The andaucian quarter is well worth a look, and the Medina is not as mad as Fez or Marrakech.

Great views of valley and getting lost in Medina is fun, great architecture. Do not stay in central Medina if you can, too noisy with people and roosters. Food is excellent and cheap

For travelers with no French or Arabic, we felt welcome but not pressured by the people in the souk. We were even given the opportunity to weave on a loom (harder than it looks) and had shopkeepers pointing out the best scenery to take pictures...More

After some of the hectic cities, Chefchouen offers a serene atmosphere. Amble through the pictured-perfect lanes at your leisure.
