The Medina is not very big so you can easily explore it without getting lost. It feels very safe and laid-back. The unique blue colored alleyways and houses make up great photo of opportunities. Call for prayer sounds very interesting here because there are a...More

Absolutely loved the place for both its beauty and friendliness. We wandered around at our leisure feeling safe and even welcomed into the Medina. When we were looking for a certain restaurant or even the toilets, people were more than happy to help without expecting...More

The colors are spectacular and almost unbelievable. We wandered around and got lost and then found our way. You can shop to your hearts content here although our guide was not confident of the authenticity and quality of the goods. If you are going to...More

This is a small and charming medina. You have to be able to walk and go up and down a lot because it is in a mountain.

Beautiful Medina to visit. Many shops with local handicrafts. We loved the blue color walls on buildings, just about everywhere.

I really like the square, the ambiance is authentic with many shops selling handy craft products and spices at very competitive prices compared to other locations in the city. There are also many restaurants. I like also walking among the old houses and streets, it’s...More

We went to Chefchaoun on a day trip from fez. We only got 3 hours to explore which is not enough time! Give yourself two days to explore properly as we felt we missed bits. Also, maybe get out and about early for the photo...More

We stayed in chefchaouen for 3 days. Visited medina few times. Recommend going in evening as cooler and more atmosphere. Wasn't hassled or pressurised into buying anything and bought some gorgeous items to take home (We drove over from Spain so could fill our boot!)....More

It is quite small. It depends how much shopping you want to do. The locals who have something to sell will not leave you alone for a second! They are very, very pushy. I think an hour or two is plenty of time.

It's not that big. You wont even need a full day but it extremely depend on you yourself and how you enjoy visiting such places but try every (and I mean every) alley or path as you will enjoy every inch of this blue town!
