Walk out of town, sit, enjoy a mint tea and watch the world go by ! Local women come here to wash clothes .... pretty sure washing facility still used .... saw lots of wet clothes drying in the sun ! In summer apparently, they put tables and chairs in the water, so you can sit with your feet submerged while taking in the surroundings !! The original 'wet bar' .... well .... it's a 'dry' bar .... but you know what I mean ! Read somewhere that this waterfall is the water source for the town ????? Not sure about the clothes washing and smelly feet in the main water supply ? Might need a 'fact check' !!…

Rad el Maa Waterfall is located in one of the entrances to Chefchaouen, the blue town of the North of Morocco. It is a tiny waterfall, wherr women come in the past to wash clothes, so it is an historical place. Now it is a very beautiful site full of tourists during the day. From here, you can see very beautiful views of the town and you can begin a walk to the Spanish Mosque and other one follow the wall of the old town: both very beautiful, especially if you go to the Mosque, then you can see one of the best views of this town. Really incredible. (See also Chefchaouen Medina, Kasbah Museum, Place Outa el Hammam, Spanish Mosque, Grand Mosque and Chefchaouen Cemetery)…

The towns entire supply is from this source as you can see the pumping station building next to it. Then further down you can see the locals laundry basins on each sided where the locals use it each day. In between them you can see rugs & carpets with stones holding the corners being washed by the flowing waters. All a part of this lively little community, which isn’t all just about tourism. It’s still a home to many families. …

Once entering the city, it's collected & funneled into pipes that feed the several fountains in the community where the residents can fill their vessels and return to the home. While it's small in size, it is located in a beautiful woodland setting.…
