The birding was excellent with many sought after species found by our excellent guides. The forest trails were well-maintained and provided excellent access to the forest. Lemurs were sparse, but found with some effort. Many reptile species were readily seen. The food selection was good and nicely prepared. the accommodations were spacious and mostly comfortable.

We stayed two nights on the park's camping. The facilities are basic and not very clean, but you're in the middle of nowhere and you can chill with the sifaka's hanging around the camping site! Make sure to visit the lake at sunset when all the brids are returning for the night. Prices were high, as in all the national... More

My experience at the Park was extremely enjoyable, to put it mildly. In fact, it was incredible. Bird- and animal watching started as soon as I arrived in the Park in the morning. Birds were everywhere: sickle-billed vanga, Madagascan hoopoe, broad-billed roller, Malagasy kingfisher, magpie robin, Malagasy bulbul, long-billed tretraka, and Malagasy coucal – just for starters, to say nothing... A nice park where you can see a lot of birds and small lemurs. There are different trail to walk but like in all the parks in Madagascar you have to pay for guide.

This is not a 'top tier' tourist destination, but it's worth an overnight. The overall experience with the lemurs is not as rich as possible in other parks. The hiking is beautiful but not spectacular. And the overall cost of park entrance, etc is high for foreign tourists (but it goes towards conservation work.) The bungalows are limited, and the... That impression whas enough to spend the night. It whas verry dificult getting in touch with park and there where... More

This park is at 2 hours 30 min drive from the main town of Mahajanga, it is the best dry forest to see many birds and lemurs.

It is a great place to spot animals such as lemurs, crocodiles, insects, spiders, snakes and nature.
