Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our driver pulled over and let us enjoy lunch at the very top of Roaring Rocks (there's a picnic table up there!). The views were incredible, the wind/breeze felt great and spotting animals from above was such a great lunch treat. This is a great spot for seeing beautiful birds!

A fine place, which allows you to watch the landscape in West Tsavo national park.
We had a bush breakfast in this peaceful place.

Definitely worth the brief climb up to see the views from this viewpoint. The wind creates a strange roaring sound but the evening light on the nearby hills is spectacular

You are allowed to leave your car here to climb up the rocky hill in a few minutes. At the top you will find a renewed resting-place with bench and table for your picnic, shelter from the wind.Even the wind is not roaring its worth to visit because of the view overlooking Tsavo - Ngulia Range one side - Seven Sisters and sometimes Kilimanjaro on the other side ( a panorama map is explaining).Make a round trip from Roaring Rocks to Mzima Springs - Sheitani Crater to
Rhino Sanctuary (access to Rhino Sanct.not before late afternoon) .

I have done it again and again every time that im tsavo west, The roaring rocks keeps on calling me back with its great panoramic view! I first visited this site 14 years ago and every time i am at the top of this fantastic cliff i bow down to the lovely scenery in front of my eyes! Watching elephants and a number of antelopes grazing down around the rhino valley circuit its an amazing adventure, the volcanic rocks and volcanic hills around this site gives Tsavo west the best landscape!

Weather it´s your first, second or third time in Kenya you must not miss this adventure, going through the dried grass where first sight does not show much and suddenly being so close to the animals it´s a exciting experience... the views are so unique, but be prepared the Sun is extremely hot and make sure you pack extra suncream protection , drink plenty of water and be prepared to amuse yourself.

Lovely place to sit and watch the land sprawl away. Nothing much there but if you are there alone, nice views and peace.

Reaching the Top of the Roaring Rocks, a fantastic view towards west with the 5 Sisters, the Chulu Hills and with a bit of luck the Kilimanjaro. The other side a fantastic view to the Rhino Valley.
