Nothing spectacular...

Not worth straying off your planned trip itinerary, but fine to stretch your legs or if you want to visit a local market.

The falls is next to Thomson Falls Lodge and can be seen from the gardens.A small part has a walkway to view the falls but the terrain is difficult to do a hike .

We stopped here en route from Aberdare NP to Lake Nakuru NP. It was a worthwhile stopover to stretch your legs but unexciting. Plenty of vendors trying to part you from your money. Having said that it was dry season so in wet season the falls may be more spectacular.

The falls are located in Nyahururu town. You can access them either from Nyeri or Nakuru. Offers a good view. For though who like to fully explore a place, you can go down at the base of the falls and then climb back up.

We stopped over here on our way to the Outspan. We were surprised at the charge but it was very reasonable - there's a path that allows you to get much closer to the falls but it's not recommended for young children. There's a restaurant but please check timings on whether it's all day dining or specific times.

You find this attraction on your way to Masai Mara. You find villages with fake US dollar notes wanting to change. Or take pictures with the tribesmen for money

The Lodge is well placed just next to the water fall. The Gardens are well kept with a nice view of the Water Falls.

As if we hadn't seen enough, we still want to see the elephants. So elephants it will be. And so many of them. We can't get too close as they are enjoying themselves in the middle of a swamp but with good binoculars we watch a game played by a tiny elephant toddler and a brave grey crowned crane. Impossible... More

The falls are lovely. Beware of the tourist trap in the form of local shops as well as shop keepers who can get aggressive and road if you do not visit or purchase from their shops. Entry was 200 shillings per head. If you want to venture to lower areas you have to request security personnel on duty to accompany... More
