Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We visited this temple while travelling back from lovina to ubud. Our driver tolds us, that this was the oldest and highest temple in Bali, therefore a visit here was justified. It is just down the road from Kintamani. There were only a few tourist around and the temple was quite. You need a sarong to enter the temple and its best to buy one, when embarking on a trip to Bali.

There are several flights of steps that leads up to the temple. The Candi Bentar is beautiful. In the courtyard, there were rows of old statues and fragments of sculptures kept in the open. The view from the temple are superb and you can see the rice terraces and main mountains of Bali from here. Definitely worth of a visit.

They say this is the highest temple on the island of Bali and it is well worth visiting from Kintamani. It’s can be pretty quiet too — early afternoon there were only two other people there — and rather lovely in its understated style. You need to negotiate about 350-400 steps to get to the top and on a clear day you can see the mountains (including Batur and Agung) off to the southeast, although the trees need a bit of trimming to show off the view to its best

Worth a visit but over 100 steps to the top. Hope you are feeling fit. The view is worth it. Very old temple, not as picturesque as others but the view is worth it.

Batur Caldera is huge volcanic caldera formed 29,100 years ago from the strato-volcano, it is the (finest and most beautiful caldera in the world Van Bemmelen 1970). The northwest of the caldera is localized Penulisan Temple, from this point you can witness the beautification of the caldera territorial include other mountains and the Lake inside. Starting to make the trip at 05:30 to watch the sunrise from, trekking along the outer caldera rim to Trunyan (Bali Aga village by the lake). The stunning views along the way is the pattern of an International great value. Ocean, Mountains, Lake and villages include tthe agrricultural territorial are extremly beautiful. If you have longer time to stay in this area you should take this opportunity for your triip satisfaction. Not many tour organizer knowing rhis spectacular trekking such I did it in 1990s. He's been here a few times, and he's always lucky for being alone. Coming after work day, so there's no crowd.

I always get in it from the rear, so it's not too much to park and ride. If the entrance is from the main highway, then the stamina must be strong because the stairs are very high and many.
Don't come in the afternoon because the fog will be very thick.

If you want to move around all the runs, you have to bring about 30 runs so that all the runs from under the parking lot can break them all.

Usually I bring a buckle so that after the muspa can eat at the basement.

Parking area is quite large. The toilet hhmmm.. Don't forget to bring tissue for the girls, or it's easier to borrow a toilet in the park near the main highway. There's a lot of public toilets there.
