I went there with LG mobile group. We drive 20 jeeps from padma resort to mt batur and I don't think I would do it again. It was quite a long drive and there's nothing much to see. We expected something interesting after the long drive but there was nothing. The only thing to see was the crater from the... More

I feel like this is my main goal going to Bali and I did it! Climbing this mountain wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be. First up, we woke up at 1AM to be picked up at 2AM with a 2 hours journey to the trekking site. Shortly after we got our guide, the trekking started. Kadet was... More

One can enjoy the scenic beauty and pleasant weather of moynt batur here. Strategically placed woodden restaurants offer lunch wbich is generally a lavish spread of Balinese cuisine.

We visited during the day (not the sunrise trekking) and there were only 2 people there except us. We "had to" hire a local guide, but all was pleasant and polite and we ended up tipping our guide because he was really nice and considerate and helpful.

Me and a friend arrived today at the bottom of Mt Batur about 11am hoping to trek it without a guide as advised by a friend, looking online too it appears to be an easy climb. We were greeted by a group of men posing as government officials and it was compulsory to take a guide up and we would... More

You do not "need" a guide. It is only advisory - the guys in the area said they would shoot at us if we walked up the mountain without a (very expensive) official guide and that there was no other way around it. They also said our bikes "will not be safe" if we didn't get one but they would... More

It was a good and wonderful experience as we have a fun and outgoing guide by the name of Arii, an exciting guide who will make the journey more lively and unforgettable ☺️ Me and my friends, including 2 new friends we made that night, were tired for the journey, but we all had a good talk and laugh together... The drive to the volcano is amazing in itself. One of the most amazing sights in Bali.Plenty of restaurants overlooking the volcano. Biggest downside is the hawkers everywhere.
