- Hieu CaoHanoi, Vietnam1 contributionMust see in Vung TauIt's an amazing experience. A huge collection of weapons, coupled with friendly and enthusiastic staff, makes this a must-visit. It exhibits a broad cultural perspective, spanning from Ancient Roman to Medieval times, showcasing everything from spears and bows to muskets and machine guns. You can easily spend a good two hours exploring the content.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 22 December 2023

- msmina-travelsDarwin, Australia26 contributionsRobert Taylor Museum of Worldwide ArmsReally enjoyed walking through the different themed rooms. Highlights for us included the Australian Armed forces as well as the medieval weapons. There are lots of guns, uniforms, medals and general information about each of the different periods. There is a small gift shop at the end where you can dress up in dress jackets for a small donation to a charity. Our daughter enjoyed this as she also had prop gun for the photo! The ice cream, freezes (frappe style) and juices went down a treat at the end. Worth the visit if you’re in Vung Tau and interested in military history. Being from the Northern Territory, Australia we found it interesting to see quite a few NT memorabilia.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 31 March 2024
- 828TJAEverett, Washington482 contributionsIf you like military weapons and uniforms you will love thisExcellent museum focusing on weapons and uniforms. Goes from ancient to modern. Extensive displays, sorted by time period and country. Barely mentions the American war there. Descriptions in English. Has an outdoor coffee shop with various snacks.Visited April 2024Travelled soloWritten 20 April 2024

What a fantastic collection and one man's personal passion. I have seen many large collections around the world and this is a must see museum. Bob is there to share his passion with his lovely wife Trang. Well done Bob I'll be back to see the new toys.

I have NEVER seen such a diverse private museum anywhere...let alone, in an unusual place.
This the Jewel in the Crown of any visit to Vung tau.
Words fail to express the unbelievable quantity, quality and historical breadth of this museum.
Strength to strength....I've been a few times.
Wonderfully helpful staff and guides.
Bob, the owner is an absolute gent and font of knowledge.
This is like NO OTHER: I'm a military museum geek:))))
Splendid cafe on site too.

What a fantastic surprise this visit was! An enormous collection of arms and uniforms. We really enjoyed browsing, learning, reading and exploring. My dad in particular enjoyed the “Australian building” and all it stirred up in his mind. Educational and interesting, we needed to allow more time. Be sure to save a few hours! Must visit whether you are here for a holiday or just looking to learn more. Vung Tau should be proud to be able to boast this attraction.

Most impressive collection. Beautifully displayed, covering different times and countries. Worth the 100.000 VND entrance fee.
The staff is very helpful to direct you from one room to the other.

Vast collection of military paraphernalia with a focus on the British empire and its (erstwhile) colonies. Great to spend 1hour+ with kids in a small, well kept museum.
Staff clearly not very busy as they literally followed us around the rooms-we were the only visitors.
One suggestion is to be more accurate with some of the descriptions - one East German Officer uniform is clubbed together with Soviet ones…

Amazing museum. I could not believe that such a collection is on display here in Vung Tau.
It is world class, can comfortably sit in the heart of London, Paris, Tokyo and the like.
Must see!
The only thing I wish it could improve is disability access.

Jacob, If you didn't go to the Robert Taylor Museum of Worldwide Arms how can you offer an opinion. Personally I believe that is a negative statement when you have no knowledge of what you have missed.

Just a cheap Charlie toolbag. Obviously thinks that teaching young Vietnamese about history is only for their rich? As a westerner, if you can't afford $6.20 AUD then the problem is with you.
Downright pathetic.

I don't remember uniforms for photos, guns I think I would have remembered if you could handle them, Mr. Taylor is usually around the museum somewhere to talk to people.
