Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not what you think of when the word "beach" is used since it's a part of big old muddy Mekong river flowing out to the East Sea. But it's a bit picturesque and a place to enjoy idly while having drinks.

Can Tho Beach is a different type of beach, its along the Can Tho river. It is a fresh water beach, not salt water. The water is not clear blue as you expect. Water quality can change depending on the rain and run off into the Can Tho river.

I'm not really into Buddhism but cannot deny that this place is so beautiful and quiet. There're a lot of ancient architecture. People consider this place as a hot destination to visit when you go to Can Tho City.

I went here and ordered food for myself and my brother, as per usual they brought one plate out before the other, this is the norm in Asia.
I watched my brother eat his Beef and waited..... and waited.... and waited....
I chased up my order only to be told it was coming soon..... I waited.....
After over an hour I told them I was no longer prepared to wait I paid for what we had had and we left... I left hungry and disappointed.
This place was very nice when it first opened but nw is looking a bit tired and worn, the sand on the "Beach" has become compressed and dirty.
I do hear they have dancers in the evening that are quite entertaining though I have not see this myself.

Visited here as a part of a Mekong Delta Tour. Stopped for lunch on the beach front... the food was sensational but the beach itself was muddy brown (being near the delta) the waves large and very choppy -- there is no way anyone would swim in it ... but there has to be contrasts so we appreciate the idyllic beaches :-)

Hello,
This is the second time I has visited this place. There were some changes, some things attracted me and some annoyed me. I would like to write about the wores first. First, I was so surprised because I must buy a tickec (20,000 VND) for entrance that was not necessary before. Second, security were not happy and they didn't want to help visitors (that was my thinking, because they just stand and chat together, no instruction, no help to anyone). Third, you must go and buy beverage by yourself because employee serve guest ate in restaurant only. It is really unfair if I don't write about some interesting things here. Nice space with cool wind. Good place to relax and see full of stars sky. Besides, dancers will dance Samba and Belly dance to serve guest in restaurant. Finally, I saw this place had beautiful water music too (but it was a little bit noisy with me).
In summary, if you want you can try and experience. Bye

We came for dinner on my birthday and sat inside --the beach being just right there. But then, right before serving, they started a deafening French Can Can music --and dance! We thought the roof will fall off. I waved, then went to the DJ, but he shrugged my claim off, so we stood outside for a bit with the kid. They served our deserted table and I grabbed a bite of rather good steak.
As the music would not stop, we paid and left and had dinner eslewhere.

we spent several afternoons sitting under the palm umbrellas while visiting Can Tho. very peaceful and relaxing, sitting by the river letting pressures fall away. we enjoyed the nice view of the bridge and boating activity, met some awesome friends. 5 days was long enough to realize this area will see me again.

My friend WHIN takes me to the Can Tho
beach when I visit her on holiday.
It's off the tourist trail and seems quite
popular with the locals.
It's been purpose built so people can enjoy
it almost as if they were by the sea.
There are tables and chairs and plenty of
Palm tree's,plus a nice big bar and
restaurant with live entertainment most
evenings.
It's nice and relaxing and offers a great
view of the impressive Can Tho Bridge,
plus if you feel adventurous you can take
a swim in the mighty Mekong River!

If you are looking for a place with river breeze, this is the place. However, the choice of drinks is very limited and with poor quality. Not impressed.
