Beautiful Entrance

Unfortunatelty we were unable to go inside as the mosque was closed however the main attraction is actually the outside anyway.

The only think you can see is the facade with some undecipherable inscriptions. Only the age makes it special, nothing more.

It is located in small little street inside of Madina. It is small mosque but so pretty with its facade and age. My tour guide explained me these three doors , Its so meant one for man , one for women and one for the children. Lovely!

Hidden in the medina, probably the only mosque I have ever seen with 3 doors. It is small and usually is open only for prayer..

Visited as part of a day trip. Lots of hassle from street seller outside but worth a look and plenty of history.

The Mosque of Three Doors, Kairouan Hidden away in the medina, and part of the Kairouan UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Mosque of Three Doors may not be as imposing as the Great Mosque, but it is the second- most visited of the city’s 200-odd places of worship. It’s on a loosly defined tourist trail through the alleyways and narrow... More
