The loom is somewhat unique as the base shuttle cock is on the main floor, the threading goes up one floor, and also down into the basement floor. I've never seen one like it before, and it seems to take three people to operate, making...More

Lovely place to shop and browse for Thai silk garments. Series of teak wood shops set around a small shaded lane. The weaving is done in an area set behind a large wooded gate. Very cool and natural looking for what could easily be a...More

We arrived while the weavers were on their lunch break so we did not see the actually weaving. It was interesting to see the intricate looms but not seeing them actually in use was a downer. There were outdoor shops to browse that had clothing...More

Excellent and unique--not your normal silk weaving village. Very impressive set-up! Highly recommend as you cannot see this 2-story weaving elsewhere.

Visited this village on our first visit to Thailand. Quite interesting place except the ladies who were making the silk were in a very out of the way area. We would have missed it but a lady there pointed us in the right direction. Kind...More

Such an amazing visit and even though there is no tour guide, you can walk through the silk village by yourselves. Our little kids enjoyed it as it is quite educational! We didn’t appreciate the expensive costs of silk, until we saw the amount of...More

Best silks ever seen , if you are looking for a good quality of silks this is highly recommended . Easy to commute just 20 minutes from the City centre by car.

This is a great place to visit! We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the weaving, poking around the shops - and the effort taken to find us some silkworms so we could see what they looked like!

There is only a part of the village dedicated to weaving. 30 years ago, it was the main activity of the place. The house of weaving is located in a park, among old trees and bassins. The building itself is an old one and the...More

Lots to look at in the main street, but for me the best was the big looms down the path that is in about the middle of the street. Looks like the path through a garden to a big house but don't be put off...More

There’s no entrance fee. We parked in a small car park and made our way to the front of the gardens where they have a gate and make the silk behind the walls. Enjoy!!
