About
It is the longest wooden bridge in Thailand and it was built for comfortable transportation of people living in Sangkhlaburi and Mon Villagers. Nowadays the bridge is closed for vehicles but you can still walk over the wooden bridge. The bridge is a popular place to see an unforgettable sunset or sunrise at the dam. You also can take a bath like the Mon kids.

Kanchanaburi Province It is the second longest wooden bridge in the world, a lovely village of a small Mon community. surrounded by mountains It gives a feeling of tranquility and simplicity when the cold wind blows. The weather is cool. Suitable for traveling to relax, watch the sea of mist and take photos with the mist that covers the Mon Bridge.

Me and my family went to visit Mon Bridge. Kanchanaburi The weather is good and the nature here is very good. It's so good that we went in winter, it felt like we were in a foreign country. We come to the bridge since 5 am. It's very cold. Then we wait for the monks because we will make merit and offer food to monks. After making merit, we walked to the bridge between Thailand and Mon. It's really beautiful and our family took pictures together. And we will continue walking because the side has a lot of things for sale. the people here are so cute My family and I went to almost every store that sells the 555. There is a wide range of items such as clothes, food, souvenirs, home decor, decorations and much more, and a good trip is a good family trip.

Mon Bridge used to go here last year. I like it very much. Beautiful view and get to know the culture of his hometown. I feel comfortable every time I see it. I'm very impressed. Before going home, I walk to find souvenirs. Souvenirs are not very expensive. Service people are nice and friendly. Overall this place is very good. I recommend everyone to try it. Then you will appreciate this place. And hope the covid-19 will be gone. Will definitely go here again 😍

Sangkhlaburi's iconic, 447m-long wooden bridge, the largest in Thailand, At the Mon end of the bridge is a souvenir market selling Karen shirts and dresses among other things. Follow the street uphill from the bridge and turn left on the main road to visit the Mon market, which is refreshingly free of souvenirs.

I must admit that I was somewhat disappointed with this destination overall.
I wasn't expecting a MON DISNEY WORLD, but I did expect more.
First it is a LONG and at times harrowing drive from anywhere. Located in far NE KAN it takes a LONG time to get there.
It is billed as a MON Village but I'd guess that no more than a 1/3 is Mon-related. The rest is just typical Thai tourist stuff.
Then there is the LONG, hot walk across the famous wooden bridge.
One way to avoid this is to book a trip on a boat to the Underwater Temple.
This was the highlight on the trip for me. As you return, have the driver drop you off on the opposite shore then you only have to traverse the bridge once.
As an alternative. drive about a 1/2 Km out of town and then cross the vehicle bridge and then back into the Mon Village.
Some great photo ops. but at the end of a long voyage!
