No, I am not partial, even if I did live in Phitsanulok for three years. The statue in the Big Temple is simply the most stunning gold statue in the kingdom.

There is a lovely Thai girl who volunteers to show foreigners around the wat and practice her English. She's a very good guide! Go after school finishes at 3.30 to catch her. And don't worry, she's there with her parents!
