Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The original temple was built by a wealthy Burmese timber merchant about 130 years ago. It was rebuilt about 30 years ago due to conflagration. Visitor can wander around the place watching Burmese style architectures and decorations, or also worship Burmese style Buddha statues in the temple and Buddha relic in the pagoda.

If you are in town, you should spend the time to come here, to see one of the oldest, and best renovated Wats in town.

At front of the main gate, there are fruit stalls which are arrange tidily , hygienically clean. After entering the temple complex, there is delicate wooden work of main monastery with tiered roofs in Myanmar style (once damaged from fire but now renovated). The wooden floor makes the ambience cool interior. On the Left , it's main pagoda.

I went in a group around lampang and our guide was awesome, so knowledgeable and really improved the experience. I'm a big fan of temples in asia and i found this one really good and even though i've seen many temples in thailand this one sticks in my mind. Would definitely recommend.

Wat Sri Chum is a Burmese-style temple which dates back to the late nineteenth century. At the time of our visit, it was open but some parts of it were clad with scaffolding: it is now receiving some much needed renovation work.

This small temple is really quite dilapidated at present. The woodwork is rotting in places, sections of fretwork have dropped off and the paint looks faded. Maybe it will be a more impressive sight once the repairs are complete. In the meantime, Wat Sri Chum is underwhelming.

Very famous Burmanse Temple, in the centre of town, surrounding it is a muslim wet market where you can buy fruits and veg and you can buy a banana pancake from two lovely Muslim ladies. Two religions living side by side. I love this.

Unfotunately, this main monastery with most perfect myanmar fine arts was burned last years ago, the re-built one is still alike the original. the pagoda is also strange from other thsi pagodas. There is also fruit stalls selling seasonal fruits, including dragonfruit, orange, pineapple, rambutan, roseapple banana and so on.
