Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

View was amazing and definitely worth the trek, but even at 10:30am and how short the hike was (10-15 minutes) I must have lost 5 lbs from sweating. Be prepared with sneakers or at least more study sandals with straps as you will be climbing rocks with ropes to guide you up. There was a small fee $25 or 50 bh per person to go to the viewpoint and beach.

Totally go here!!!!! The most amazing view and the most iconic spot for a photo, however DONT hike in the middle of the day. You will DIE. We hiked at 11:30 even though it’s about 20 mins it’s challenging on these rocks with a rope, you will overheat and struggle we had to sit down for a really long time to recover because I had never ever sweat that much in my life. Beware.

fabulous place to watch the sun set. A must do when in Koh Tao, we loved it . Make sure to wear suitable foot wear as the climb can be a little steep.

What a stunning view from here, amazing place to take the pictures you will always treasure. And don’t be shy if you travel alone, someone will always be happy to take your pictures with you in them, and of corse you can return the favour.

It’s a. Interesting walk/climb up using the well positioned ropes to help you, not recommended to wear flip flops and be careful even the easy bits are a bit slippery with loose gravel.

Truly a great place 🤗

It's a bit of a hike through some steep terrain BUT the view. Breathless. Put your hiking boots on go when the sun is not beaming down and the reward when you get to the drop awaits.

Some great views from this point, as seen in some of the photos of this place. The climb up isn't necessarily easy (15-20 minutes using a thick rope to help yourself up), but its a nice workout that makes seeing the views from the top a bit more satisfying. For what its worth, the 360 degree viewpoint nearby (I call it the Bird's Nest) is much easier to get to, and the views aren't any less breathtaking...

100 bht each to enter this area which includes the viewpoint and freedom beach and free bottle of water) but we felt it was worth it. Beautiful views, nice climb and nobody around (probably due to the fee). Would recommend.
