Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Accessible by moped or on foot if you are staying close by. Lovely beach bar. Snorkel with the sharks and laze on the perfect beach. We stayed at Jamahkiri Resort and walked over the hill to the beach.

I walked to get there, thats crazy😂 The road to the beach is really pretty with palms and views but when you arrive at the beach its not that pretty, the palm where people take pictures is not there anymore, the sand is from stones and the water not that clean

After a few vey disappointing experiences with koh tao beaches filled with plastic and dirty water, this is finally the pristine environment I was looking for. I mean, not 100% clean but the water is of a beautiful blue, you can see alive coral and fish of different colours even from the surface Fo the waters. The beach is small and delimited by a rocky bay which is wonderful to see. You'll enjoy the most if you really like snorkeling, but obviously if you are mostly here for swimming or just stay in the water, mind that the you need water shoes. There are 2 or 3 restaurants/resort around where to have food.

We went to #SaiDaengBeach many times and what catches a lot of attention besides the spectacular beach is the resort that surrounds you. We decided to stay there to experience being confined a few days in this paradise!

If you want to come to Koh Tao and stay near the ocean and close some of the most beaches of Koh Tao, @saidaengresort is the right choice!

We stayed in a wonderful suite with a balcony facing the #HinWongBay. Furthermore you can enjoy the infinite-edge swimming pool with a stunning view to the Sai Daeng Beach. This unique stay was completed by a priceless beachfront breakfast with the sound of the ocean at Sai Daeng Beach!

The beach is nice but does it worth crashing your scooter when going up the very steep road? We don’t think so. Luckily we only got small injuries but this road is danger!

We saw lots of fish and reef sharks on Sai Daeng beach. Highly recommended for snorkelling. It is easily accessible from the Sai Daeng resort.

Nice beach with enough shade. A lot of dead coral but still great snorkeling. Loads of fish. Black tip reefsharks and turtles!

A small beach with only 2 resorts - quiet and clean, with spectacular view. A bit hard to get to, but once you are there you don't feel the need to go anywhere else.

This beach features easy access to the reef, much live coral with colorful fish, and on the left side facing the bay, a bunch of baby reef sharks. Not too crowded, with two resorts each with restaurants who are very welcoming to nonguests. Very much worth the taxi ride over.

I don't understand how some people can enthuse about the snorkeling here. It cannot be emphasized enough: there are only 2 spots on Ko Tao where the coral is still over 50% intact, and that's Aow Leuk and Light House. You must really have very low standards to consider the snorkeling on Sai Deng beach good at all. The coral gets somewhat better to the right side (Coral View Resort side) as you venture into deeper water around the rocks, but then better snorkel with a life vest.
