Not up to my expectation. Nice view but there is nothing underwater. No corals and only a few fish. Malaysia island is better

This place is truly stunning! I have been on the tour two times and it never fails to disappoint. I booked my tour through Sea Angel - in resort in Phuket. Although the island itself is VERY Packed and touristy meaning that you don't get long on the island, it is worth a visit. The water is crystal clear and... More

As seen in every picture I tried to take, there was hundreds and hundreds of people at Maya Beach. With the hype of this attraction, it truly takes away from the beauty of this island with the mounds of people that were at the attraction. If you are planning to visit I would suggest to inquire if the time you're... More

I first went to Maya Bay in 2008 and it was beautiful. I actually Kayaked there from Haad Yao and it was a long, hard paddle there and I only recommend it to the very fit individuals out there! It was beautiful and FREE. Now "The Beach" is crowded, dirty and they charge you 400 Baht just to land on... More

It can be crowded so not the place if you want quiet and seclusion. Very casual atmosphere, can be loud at night. Boats... More

We took a private long tail boat, which cost 1200 baht for a 3 hour trip and got there at 8am. By that time it was already full of people. The beach is beautiful, but I think it's overrated. I was glad we did not spend too much time there and went to see other places like Phi Phi Ley... More

Amazing excursion - we are backpacking as a couple - but we were prepared to pay more for the early tour due to 'The beach' being our travelling inspiration! Worth every penny - early start - but given drinks and Thai donuts! The tour operator was AMAZING! Perfect english - and a english sense of humour to match! Full of... More

I’m glad we visited Maya Bay, but I would never do it again, unless we did it differently. First, the long tail boat to Maya Bay was 1500 baht (about $45) for a 3 hour tour. For me, this was a MUST DO, so we paid and bit our tongues. The ride in was absolutely amazing, because it was really... More
