Very nice place. I have been five times before but unfortunately gets very busy to try to book with a boat that goes early in the morning (when it is re-opened). Must see the movie first!

Shutting down the island is a bitter sweet news but it was a relief to know that finally the Thai authorities are now doing something. Maya Bay is an absolute breath-taking island for a picture-perfect paradise getaway, of course exclude all the litters. I’ve arrived...More

Maya Bay is closed during the months of June to September. During our tour to Phi Phi, we were taken around the bay but were not allowed to disembark the boat.

Came here on an island tour and was not disappointed. We must have arrived at the right time as there wasn’t too many other tourists. Water is crystal clear and inviting. Photos do not do Maya Bay justice. Was happy to visit before shut to...More

As a part of our Island hopping tour; i happened to be on the Maya Bay. The place has a charming beauty; surprisingly this island in the Andaman island is quite like a halting space for migrating Birds like the HornBills. Though you could see...More

I have always seen other people's pictures and never thought that physically being there it means that the Island looks exactly the same as the pictures. Absolutely breathtaking and pictures certainly doesn't do it justice. You have to experience it in order to appreciate the...More

We got a private boat to take us around the islands for about 1k Baht/person. It was well worth it. The views are spectacular. They do close this area for cleaning usually in June. Not sure for how long. There is also a charge to...More

On the news the other day it said for FOUR months. Also as an FYI Phi Phi will also be virtually shut down as it’s the close season when they build and repair for next season starting in November.

Yes it is unfortunately closed. I would personally suggest you to look at Krabi, over PhiPhi islands. Its less explored, secluded & a place to be as a couple to enjoy the togetherness

It’s unfortunate you will miss Maya Bay when you visit but so many other places to enjoy so don’t let that spoil or change your plans. Back in March we were based on Bangtao Beach in Phuket and went on 3 tours in total... More
