While the pictures make it look very beautiful-it's difficult to really take in the natural beauty through the hordes of people and boats. Really disappointing

We took a day trip here. What a beach, a must see if you visit this part of Thailand. We visited during Chinese new year and the beach was crammed to the limit with Chinese tourists, standing room only But definitely worth the trip, bring your camera. A short walk inland takes you to another interesting beach worth visiting

Went with a boat tour and by the time we got to maya bay no sun was on it. However the sand is so soft and the sea is crystal clear. They have a snack bar which is expensive and toilets also don't bring domes as they are not allowed on the bay.

We took a full day island hopping trip, where we visited Khai Island, Phi Phi Island, and Maya Bay. Out of all the beaches, Maya is truly the most beautiful! Khai Island was extremely crowded, and although there were some fishes, the water was rather cloudy, and wasn't as amazing as we thought. Same goes for Phi Phi as well,... More

Sadly the island is overly touristy and the coral reef community reaps the damage. The noise pollution alone with all the boat traffic above is deafening and the coral and fish are obviously suffering. Stunning beach and natural surroundings, unfortunately destroyed from traffic and over population.

Maya bay is arguably the most beautiful of all the islands in Phi Phi. Huge mountains covered with greenary and the outstretched beach will steal your heart away!

We went there as part of a full day snorkeling tour but was very disappointed. Although it's a beautiful place you can't enjoy it because of the hundreds of people that crowd the beach. The toilets were filthy. Couldn't enjoy my hour long stay there. If you want to go perhaps pay the extra to "beat the crowds"

This beach is so crowded with tours and tourists that you can't really enjoy it. I personally don't see the attraction
