Only stopped here on our boat to do some snorkelling as part of a trip.....some of the best snorkelling I have ever done. Beautiful fish everywhere! Some do nip at you occasionally but it doesn't hurt. Feels like you are in paradise! :)

The second largest island here, steep limestone cliffs surround the famous Maya Bay. Waters here are teeming with fish and coral. Crowded with boatloads of tourists and day trippers. Still an excellent snorkeling area with blue waters and fabulous views. Even better second time around.

Beautiful crystal clear water. Great for a quick swim but lots of long tails in and out. No snorkeling here.

I got to dive here for over 2 months and loved it. Mushroom Rock is my fave spot there, on the NW tip!

So incredibly beautiful but be warned that Maya Bay is way too crowded and you right want to slap someone with their selfie stick :)

One of the biggest attractions of the Phi Phi Islands. Apart from the most famous Maya Beach, which in itself is amazing, the island offers you many more attractions. Your boat can take you to small, charming bays with breathtaking views, excellent snorkling places with the reef. Highly recomend :)

This was our second open water dive, the visibility was 10m and there was strong currents. Did see some schools of fish and good marine life but not the paradise waters we were expecting.

What it lacks in size this island makes up for with its stunning beauty. Phi Phi Le is surrounded by idyllic beaches - it was on the sands of Ao Maya that Leonardo DiCaprio starred in the film The Beach. Its coral reefs are popular with divers, while its caves, shaped by the sea, contain some very impressive concretions and... More

If you go down to the beach where the pier is you could probably pick up a long boat really cheap for a private tour of Le but we didn't have time so found a great girl selling tours who organised a fair price for 4 hours private tour around Le snorkelling, he took us where we wanted, monkey cave...
