Found this beach while exploring on our scooter - what a find! Basically had the beach to ourselves. The water is clear and calm, and no sea lice at all while we were there (there was some up the road at Klong Nin). Great bar...More

Kantiang Bay is clearly where all the backpackers staying at cheaper locations gravitate to on their scooters, so the traffic on the approach to the beach is practically ceaseless, even into the early hours of the morning. It may be less crowded than the rest...More

This is indeed a quiet and beautiful place, I assume it has not yet been discovered by the crowed. We did not plan to visit this beach and got there on a windy day so the water was not crystal clear but “just” very clear...More

We were here for 5 days and compared to the busy northern beaches, Kantiang Bay provides a lovely, quiet alternative. Clean, with a couple of great beach bar/restaurants which get lively in the evenings.

Far from the crowded Krabi beaches, very few tourists and good for that very reason. But better check your hotel ratings before you plan your trips. Avoid ‘Dream Team Beach Resort’ at any cost. Very rude front desk and very far from any tourist friendly...More

Compared to beaches in the north of Lanta, Kantiang Bay is not too busy. Also seemed to be one of the cleanest beaches on the island. The community keeps it clean. Nice lanterns on the beach at nighttime.

There are several daytrips boats which can take you to other islands from Kantiang Bay. We stopped for a short dive at Ko Ngai, and got off at Ko Muk before the boat continued to Ko Kradan. Just ask at the hotel.
