Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Come with travel agent. Can view the making processes of coconut sugar; a few processes only. Also can have free sampling, coconut sugar not that sweet at all. Many souvenirs available, pretty reasonable price, tour guide will help on discounts if buy more.

1 Pack of coco sugar for 50 Baht that's it.
They sell expensive souvenirs and other stuff. Don't buy inside Coconut Sugar Farm specially for foreigners like me. They charge too much on their goods.
You will think you have bargained already and got a cheaper price but when you go in other stores (outside coco sugar farm) it is STILL expensive. You will feel victimized.
That is what I felt. I bought big picture frame, the ORIGINAL price they told me was 1500 Baht, I bargained for 800 Baht, they gave that price to me. When I went to PAEW SOUVENIR that same picture frame is priced as 450 BAHT.

One of our stops was to the coconut farm . The farm is slightly hidden of the main road . This was a very pleasant visit . There are plenty of souvenirs to buy including coconut oil ( the best in the world ). You are buying it from the source directly. A good educational trip.

Nothing special about this place. A stop for 5 mins just to see how they make coconut sugar will do. They sells some handcraft items too but priced at very expensive tag.
And there’s lots of flies around..... wonder the hygiene of the coconut sugar....

Informative stop off but could have taken it or not. It was interesting to be shown how they make the sugar from coconuts but to be guided towards the shop to buy things again becomes a bit boring !
Worth a five minute stop though

Most boat drivers bring their passengers to the coconut sugar farm. The place itself is a souvenir shop that also produces the coconut sugar. A small portion of coconut sugar drink was offered. They have a boiling pot of coconut sugar at one corner but no one care to explain the process. The souvenirs are not that interesting either.

I got coconut sugar and it’s all melted together in the bag, is that normal? Can I pack it still and cut it up when I get back home and eat it just fine?
Written 28 June 2019
