It houses a big Buddha. The building and its interior look pretty new and I don't find it attractive to me. It doesn't charge admission fee to visitors.

After visiting the ruins walk over to see the gigantic Buddha inside this Wat. Quite impressive. There are warnings to watch for pickpockets. The Buddha is quite beautiful and massive.

If you are visiting the nearby, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, then you should take the extra steps to go up and see the large buddha inside this temple. You will have to take your shoes off to go inside but it is worth it.

We walked down to it. While the temple was closed you can make an offering as well as access one of the other recommended temples. It will be hot with little shade so take advantage of their umbrellas.

This is a temple where many local people come and pray. If you are curious about the current religious practice in ayutthaya, visit this temple.

Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit is a temple close to the large interesting area of ruins of Ayuttahya. This temple is full of believers during all the day and it as nice to see their faith and smiling face.I felt in peace.
