Must visit holy place in India. One gets immense peace visiting here specially when you are there at early morning hours at 4-5 am. The Bani being recited gives internal relief from all your wordly problems and you are in contact with the Almighty who gives you ways to get rid of all hurdles coming your way of life.

Very impressive gold leaf Temple. Most of the people there were Sikhs on vacation who were very happy to be visiting. We returned at night & found it even more enchanting with lights & reflections.

This is the holy shrine of the Sikhs, a race of incredibly beautiful, strong, tall, and peaceful people. Built by the Sikh Gurus out of beautiful inlaid marble who then started sheathing it in plates of gold. hundreds of thousands of Indians pay their respects here every day. The day we went was a Sunday (their holy day) and a... More

What a place for peace and tranquility in this magic temple, I have been to the Vatican, and all is well and enjoyed my visit, but the Golden Temple is different, it is very busy, very busy at times, there is pushing, and unintentional shoving , after all it is India, where unlike the Western Countries physical touch without permission... Been there last month and i must say it is very Beautiful specially the main temple situated at the center of pond. It takes usually upto 2-2.5 hours as according to the crowd to reach main temple. Beauty around the temple is very decent and also Langer (food without any cost) is available 24x7. Its must visit place.

Marvelous temple. The place is worth visiting for admiring it's architecture. Langar service is a must have, to see how people serve the community.

I did an elaborate post about this haven of peace and beauty on my non-commercial WordPress blog dated January 2017, and I don't mind recapping here in summary: the Golden Temple is an unforgettable destination that, whatever your cultural or religious background, you should visit if you can. The atmosphere is serene, and throughout your visit you will enjoy the... More
