We could not go by midnight, and hence went by 5 am. The illumination provided at night is fantastic! With the sunrise, we took a bath, in the pool swarming with huge Kai Karp fish!. You can dip, but you can't swim! Go with a...More

Large crowds but worth it. View as you enter has the wow factor. Palki ceremony worth seeing. Visit during the day and join the pilgrims eating from the kitchens. They feed free food to 100000 a day.

A stunning show of phenomenal architecture. As an atheist I went to see the architecture and experience the culture which I thoroughly enjoyed, I found it rather boring. Surrounded by a large pool of blessed water it reflects the golden temple everywhere. It's beautiful.
