One of my best trip was to Eravikulam National Park. Had a good time round the hill and also saw Varayadu or The Nilgiri tahr. Such a beautiful place and pleasant view. The temperature was around 18 degree celcius. Unfortunately it was not the time for the blossom of nilgiri flowers. :(

We had booked tickets the previous day... rs 50 per head and then at the venue we bought bus tickets rs. 90 per adult. The lines... More

As of now, you need to buy a ticket for the bus that takes you inside the NP. Private cars are not allowed inside, but only till the ticket counter. I believe the cars... More

It takes 45 minutes to reach from Munnar , followed by 2 hours waiting in a queue to get onto the bus that takes you to the `sanctuary' . From there you walk uphill around a km, to see some goats . Walk back, and wait half an hour to get the bus that takes you down again . So,... More

Awesome, its very true to the say"God own country. But to be there, we should be early in time where you may be curtail to stand in serpentine queue.... More

The Eravikulam National Park is well managed by the Kerala Forest Dept. There is online booking of tickets facility which helps people avoid the huge queues. The park has well managed queues and shelters where people wait. The small mini buses of the forest dept pick people up in a very organized way and drop then up the mountain at... More
