Enthralling experience @ the white desert.. Completely salty and an altogether a different experience when you visit this place.. Amazing Sunset and scenic views around the White Rann.. The connecting roads from Kalodungar and the leading road from Bhuj are simply exquisitely laid out.. Anyone will feel that they are in a different world when they visit this place during... More

This is one such natural phenomenon which everyone must visit. Few pointers # visit around full moon else it's not exciting # carry all the medical needs, do not depend on the shops there. Best is to visit during Jan as by then most of the sand is dried and you can walk farther as in Dec and Nov water... More

Visited in November but unfortunately too much water still in the area hence it hadn't yet turned into its pristine shiny white salt material. Would advise going mid Dec onwards and visit at nighttime to view it in all its glory. Nighttime also seas the area come alive and the craft shops and food shops all open.

When we visited Lakpat and when we go up the fort we can see the white desert. Lots of acres of white desert. We could get in and feel the white sand when we go round in Kutch and also on the way to Dolaveera. When we went to Ranutsav also we can see the white desert. Just go round... More

there might be places where it is nice to see the white desert, but the place where we went was not desert at all. There were thousands of people who came to see the Sunset. So it is difficult to appreciate the width of the landscape and to feel any emotion

One may join Ranutsav and visit White Desert. Be there by around 4 pm to sunset and again by night if possible on full moon day. Your camera will not take any good picture but your eyes will enjoy the night beauty, which is beyond words.
