The mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier have been buried here and are more than 400 years old. It is a good, peaceful place to visit. The Church as such is heavily embellished and beautiful.

We visited this search as part of tourist sightseeing and this place is in also a very good place in goa. you can see the tomb of xavier which is still preserver with church inside bieng gold plated.

Beautiful architecture, Roman Catholic church. The body of St. Xavier is so well preserved that you feel blessed after seeing the mummy.
