The body of Francis Xavier is kept on the left side of the Main Alter at a height of about 20 ft.. You cannot see the body clearly even though it is kept in a glass and Gold Casket ... The church is awe inspiring

Beautiful but do not visit on a holiday. Gets extremely crowded with local visitors that keeps the security busy. No photos of people allowed inside and everybody takes selfies? What should be a sacred monument is just another place to visit.

Initially it was not in my list but my wife insisted on visiting this. If I had not visited this, I would have missed a great place such as this. Excellant church have few hrs to spent. Cool place for any traveller.

Did like the souvenir mugs with "I prayed at the tomb of St Francis..." (t shirts were not available, perhaps out of stock) and getting a mass said for INR 100 seems a bargain

Very nice place to visit. Looks awesome. They have St. Francis Xaviers body kept there which is supposedly 450 years old.

It is very old church. I highly recommend you to hire a guide outside of church at Rs100 for tour of 15 mins. You can only hire guide outside as no guide available hire. Their is no entrance fee. It also has washroom facilities. Opposite...More

you can buy some random and cheap fashion clothes and accessories and also buy the famous Goan cashews in and around panjim. you can also walk up to a wine shop and add some wine to your collection or the local fenny

Hi, there's no entrance charge for the church but mind the dress code - no shorts and sleeveless clothes for the guys or girls. The main Feast happens on 3 Dec every year with a 10 novena preceding it but nothing I'm aware... More
