One of the best historical places in Old goa. It has a very good historical lineage and its light and sound demonstration is worth viewing. It contains the body of Francis Xavier for last 550 years. It should be in every travelers list.

Nice church with good history. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier.Best time to visit this place is in the morning because it is less crowded at that time.

We got to see a wedding at the church also. Church is old and architecture is beautiful. Some construction is going on so in pics steel bars etc. will come. Inside church is beautiful. No entry for people wearing shorts. 3/4 pants will work.

Wonderful and historically important church in Old Goa which hosts the tomb of St Francis Xavier. Visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds, however for taking a picture of the beautiful front the afternoon light is much better.

Hi, there's no entrance charge for the church but mind the dress code - no shorts and sleeveless clothes for the guys or girls. The main Feast happens on 3 Dec every year with a 10 novena preceding it but nothing I'm aware... More
