This street or area needs to be done by walking. By walking you can see all those which we might miss if in vehicle. Beautiful and lovely coloured houses are identity of fontainhas. Each and every house is unique by its colonial style architecture and exterior colour paint. A couple of art galleries, and a temple are also here.

Fontainhas, the Latin quarters of Panjim, is a world heritage site and you can see why. The streets and houses are well preserved and very pretty. As you meander around, observe the vibrant colours of the walls and roofs of the buildings. Look out for the cockerel on the roof (signifying supporters of the Portuguese in the old days). Our... Excellent little Portugese village oasis in the middle of bustling Goa. Beautiful little old houses and quiet streets, worth passing by.

I never knew the colorful buildings and narrow alleys had a name too until I googled it ... but I was so mesmerized with the colors on display in the streets that I had to go back ... Across seasons, Fontainhas provides you with the best colors to capture ... A must visit for those who like to capture ...

A lovely place in Panjim with spanish style houses and local cuisine restaurants scattered along the curving lanes. Must visit for a heritage lover and photowalk experts.

Very beautiful surroundings in the Panjim city area. Its like a walk back through time, we only came here as recommendations from the hosts we were staying with in Goa. Although we did have to walk around a little bit, there is an undeniable charm about the place. It is well maintained, the streets, houses and even the gardens. Definitely... More

Fontainhas is the old Latin-Portuguese Quarters. A walk down the many streets in Fontainhas in the evening takes yo back to the 16th Century. There are beautiful old Portuguese houses and a couple of nice restaurants here if you would like to have dinner or lunch. Must see this place.

We stayed in this area while in Panjim and it was very pretty, little bits of Portugal with a lot of overriding India. Well worth a visit with a few nice restaurants to boot
