Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bapu museum is a small museum & entrance ticket for this museum costs Rs 50 which is very steep as per me. Mobiles and photography is allowed inside this museum.

Entire museum is air conditioned. The exhibits in this museum is less and nothing great to speak about.

Visit this museum only if one has extra time at Vijayawada. I walked to this museum from Ramayya mess (About 15 minutes walk from Ramayya mess to Bapu museum). If one has to go to vijayawada railway station/bus stand just cross the road from exit of Bapu museum and one can get share auto's from there to vijayawada railway station/bus stand.

Average museum to visit because of very less exhibits and exorbitant entrance charge of Rs 50 per Person.

Originally named Victoria Museum, its now renamed as Bapu museum. The name Bapu is not to do with Mahatma Gandhi, its a famous artist Sattiraju Lakshmi Narayana, known as Bapu.
Its well maintained. Kids will find it interesting. You'll find historical weapons and ancient tools.
Closed on every Fridays, so plan your visit accordingly.

Museum location is well known to all and it is in center of the city to reach very easily by any travel mode. This museum is created in 1887 as a part of celebrations for golden jubilee of queen Victoria. At this place Pingali Venkaiah presented Indian tri colour flag to Mahatama Gandhi in 1921. This place is also used for industrial exhibitions. The artifacts inside museum are very old. Weapons in stone age are kept here. Old coins, clothes, knifes and different sculptures are here. Artifacts are from stone age to current modern age. The museum building architecture so beautiful and very strong till now. Admission ticket fees is very nominal. For food lovers very good restaurants are very near to this museum.

The structure of the Museum is an attraction by itself. The premises have a national historical significance where the tri colour flag designed by its local resident, Shri Pingali Venkayya was presented to Mahatma Gandhi. The is Museum is spread over a large area and gives you ample space to walk around in the open air. Though it is has fewer chambers, the neatly laid artifacts leads to a bygone era. The clay coffin placed in the Centre of the Museum is a special attraction. Apart from this you find sculptures of various rock stones an impressible collection. The dismembered statues and fragments of them are displayed aesthetically in the open area of the Museum. It provides an educative visit for school children and adults in a relaxed ambience.
