Just fantastic - do it. Get up close to the reef and its many inhabitants even if you can't swim. My non swimming wife loved it.

For many of us—much to our detriment—feelings wonder, awe and excitement about the world around become more difficult to achieve over time. Climbing into the Idabel (Mr. Stanley's second self-built submarine) and settling in behind the forward panoramic viewing bay felt like opening the cover...More

I've never had a chance to be in a submarine so this is a golden opportunity. Roatan is on a reef and has abundant and rare life forms undersea, especially really deep, like 1,000 plus feet. In 2-1/2 hours you can go down to 1,200...More
