Its deep in the forest, Getting there is a pain and a half, but so worth it! If in the country, and you have the time, make the effort to go! My advise; set aside a day to travel there and rest the rest of...More

Stopped by for an hour or so (we also wanted to do the cave tour). Pools are pristine and the hike to the pools is relatively easy. Additionally, there are little fish in the pools that will nibble at your toes! The hard part was...More

Quite the drive from Flores but worth it. We were in Flores (base for visiting Tikal), spent half a day or so driving down to central guatemala, stopped for a hot second and eventually made it down to Semuc Champey. We stayed at the hostel...More

Without a doubt, Semuc Chempey is one of the things you absolutely must do when visiting Guatemala. Although we rented a 4x4 at the airport in Guatemala City, I do not recommend driving to this location yourself. The dirt roads between Lanquin and S.C. are...More

A must visit- one of the most beautiful places in Guatemala. Don't forget to do the caving tour as well, it's really special.

Excellent blue pools in a relaxing setting. Enjoyed swimming in the 75 F waters, not cold, not hot. Feels like you are in heaven. Underneath the pools is a raging river. Such a contrast.

If you love the outdoors, you will love Semuc Champey. We went for a weekend from Antigua. It was an 8.5 hour ride but well worth it. We arrived at the park and filled out the necessary forms. We paid a small fee to enter....More

It's a really long drive, we were completely wiped out after spending the day at Semuc Champey. The hike up to El Mirador is long and tedious, but totally worth it. But it's also really tiring and the thought of having to do... More
