Another cool spot in between destinations. Siwa's springs are generous and welcoming wherever they are :) And with Tanta wa cafeteria right beside it, Cleopatra's spring is a refreshing stop. Ask for their fresh juices and enjoy the artefacts and collector's items all over the cafeteria.

I recommend having a nice swim first in the Salty lakes, then go to Cleopatra pool to get rid of the salt, and relax your muscles in a nice warm water. You may enjoy the break for couple of hours at one of the restaurants around the pool (soft drinks or snacks, not for real lunch meal), and you may... More

Nice place for swimming but not an ancient site. Even though Cleopatra may have swam there, it is now a swimming spot for tourists and locals, nothing ancient there to see.

If I had never have seen Cleopatra's Pool, I would not mourn. But being as that I was in Siwa, I went. Would not get in it at all but I did enjoy lazing around the area drinking a tea and exploring the area (oasis). Indeed, experience it if you happen to find yourself in Siwa. I give it 5... More

Siwa is dotted by natural wells and Cleopatra's Pool is the largest of these. Local Siwan children come here to swim and also foreigners like to make a dip here. There are several restaurants around the well and it is a good place to relax. Did the famous queen Cleopatra ever swim here? Who knows? There are so many traditions... More
