Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We walked to the temple en route to Cleopatra's Spring. It's pretty cool when it appears on the horizon as you walk towards it, and seeing as it is built on top of a hill/mountain it seems even more impressive when you're on the road that curves at its base.
The villages en route were interesting, yet the children who ran up to us begging for money seemed out of place, on my previous visits the people were friendly but fiercely proud, and although perhaps materialistically less fortunate, they were happy and free. It was a shame to see little children screaming out for spare change.
The temple itself is interesting, although this time I didn't go up seeing as I was just passing through, but I have always loved the way it looks, towering above everything, dwarfing the palm trees.

OK, I am an anthropologist so 'ruins' get me, but this one is fun, because it lets you see how the priests manipulated the visitors. You can see how the priests got the oracle to 'speak', and how the offerings 'disappeared'. I don't know whether Alexander the Great was fooled, but I was entertained!

We were so excited to finally visit this temple bit we were super disappointed. The place can use some cleaning and maintenance. If you've been around Egypt and You've been to Luxor, this one won't blow your socks off!

This is a small Temple built in the Graeco Roman Period - It's wisdom was so sought after that Alexander the Great made a special trip out there to consult the Oracle and gain answers to some of his questions.
The Temple is situated on the top of a hill, and is quite small by Egyptian standards, comprising three sanctuaries and a single hall. Very little carving survives - and this is only visible right at the very top of the walls.
The views from the Aghurmi hill are stunning - and it is worth the trip just for this.
The climb up to the top is very easy going, most people will find access relatively easy.
Entrance into the temple is 20 LE.
At the bottom of the hill alongside the ticket office, you will likely be met by small children selling local handicrafts.

Walk in the steps of Alexander the Great! This is an interesting ruin where Greek and Egyptian history comes together.

If you are visiting Siwa this is an absolute must. This is such an old temple and is just amazing. I enjoyed the most amazing experience here. The views are spectacular, the village surrounding the temple is great to see and the children are friendly and will come and chat to you.

As we live in Egypt we have obviously been to Luxor and Aswan many times but we would still 100% recommend this. It’s not fully intact but the story behind it is fantastic and the fact that you can stand where Alexander the Great stood is pretty mind blowing.

If you visit this temple after being at Luxor/Aswan you will be greatly disappointed.
It’s not perfectly preserved like other temples and basically in ruins.
