We hiked to Altar Mountain base and yellow lake over two days. The trail is lovely though muddy at times. The views on clear day is simply out of the world. There's a hut to stay at the end of the trail.

500 BC, was the world's largest mountain, is an excellent place to get in touch with nature and away from civilization. Here you can go climbing, horseback riding, fishing, hiking, etc.
