What an educational and inspiring place to take your kids. And oddly, one of the only places a gringo will see its national birds (Bald Eagles) fly openly and for miles

Caged animals are definitely not for me but understanding this foundation is working to rescue and give a safe home to sick, injured and ill-treated birds and, where possible, rehabilitate and release them makes this a very worthwhile place. The setting and views are fantastic....More

The condor park in Otavalo showcases a number of unique and incredibly rare birds. Tow of the most interesting being the Harpy Eagle and the Andean Condor. The flight presentation is in Spanish but it certainly doesn't take away from the sight of watching a...More

The raptor show was pretty cool with the birds flying overhead. The narration is in Spanish (in case you made it this far in Ecuador without knowing the language). It is mostly geared to children, but birds of prey are awesome to see close up...More

The park has a variety of condors, owls and other birds of the region in large enclosed cages fitting to their environment, but the best is to experience the Condor flights which si scheduled twice a day, so plan your time of arrival accordingly.

During our stay in the Otavalo area we visited Condor Park for a couple of nice hours in the afternoon. It is on top of a hill outside of Otavalo with a great 360 degrees view of the valley and the volcanoes in the neighborhood....More

We expected a cheesy display but were surprised and impressed by the park's quality. It's like a small zoo, containing birds of prey (eagles, raptors, owls, and of course condors). The highlight is the "show" in which a half dozen birds are brought out (one...More

An amazing collection of large birds - education birds that can't be released due to injuries. Facility is humane, and the public arena presentation is outstanding, compelling for the whole family, not to be missed! Bring sunscreen and bug repellant. Don't bother to pay the...More
