It was great to see the eagles fly

Kids loved this place, friendly staff and it was nice to learn about different types of birds from the Andes and the American continent in general

We were amazed at the number of bird species we saw, including two Andean Condors (They are huge!) as well as hawks, owls, and eagles. We could get much closer to them than we would be able to in the US.

This place gets better every year. The birds are stunning! New gardens, a little museum with strong visuals.

Gringo is their numerous name for their American Eagle. The trainer who does the show is very funny. The condors and other rehabbed birds fly free and you can watch them soar and they return. There's audience participation.

What an educational and inspiring place to take your kids. And oddly, one of the only places a gringo will see its national birds (Bald Eagles) fly openly and for miles

Caged animals are definitely not for me but understanding this foundation is working to rescue and give a safe home to sick, injured and ill-treated birds and, where possible, rehabilitate and release them makes this a very worthwhile place. The setting and views are fantastic. The flight show is great, with a very informative commentary (only in Spanish). Well worth... More

The condor park in Otavalo showcases a number of unique and incredibly rare birds. Tow of the most interesting being the Harpy Eagle and the Andean Condor. The flight presentation is in Spanish but it certainly doesn't take away from the sight of watching a number of the birds of prey take to the skies. The most impressive during our... More

The raptor show was pretty cool with the birds flying overhead. The narration is in Spanish (in case you made it this far in Ecuador without knowing the language). It is mostly geared to children, but birds of prey are awesome to see close up no matter what age you are! There is a Harpy Eagle, birds of prey common... More

Stunning, the park is nestled in the Andes. Condors in rehabilitation are visited daily by wild condors who show off their beautiful plumage and strut their stuff for the wild female. The gentleman who was manning the post was knowledgeable and articulate, able to answer questions in French, English and Spanish. He was also so handsome he could be a... More

The park has a variety of condors, owls and other birds of the region in large enclosed cages fitting to their environment, but the best is to experience the Condor flights which si scheduled twice a day, so plan your time of arrival accordingly.
