A walk up and down the 800 + steps leads to a lighthouse and Pirate Bar (when open ?). This is a very interesting part of the city but not for folks who are not in good shape... no taxis up or down !

This place will take your breath away, if not by the exercise of climbing so many steps it will be by the amazing 360 degree view once up on the top. There are several restaurants and bars along the way, so don't rush it. Time...More

After meeting I took a taxi to visit this area, unfortunatelly I got very dissapointed when I got there at 6pm and everything was closed. Also since there was almost no light I could hardly see the colorful houses.

Quaint area of Guayaquil featuring colourful houses and a number of art galleries. Walking to the top,of the hill affords a 360degree panorama of Guayaquil, and a sneak peak into some of the local houses.

Short hike up (15 mins, aproximately 500 steps, they are labelled) many restaurants, and bars to get cheap drinks. Beautiful spot to watch sunset.

Las Penas is a neighborhood that has many steps and when you get to the top you have a great view of Guayquil. It is worth climbing to the top.
