If you rub his thumb it will bring you good luck. It is close to main square. Must see. Kids had a blast rubbing his thumb.

This statue is a much smaller version of Grgur than the gigantic version in Split. Easy to find while wandering the streets of Old Town. A lot of wishes were made here as is evidenced by his large gold toe.

If you grab his toe and make a wish it might come true but over all nothing special for a person that doesn't care much about this kind of stuff. Just a statue of a guy.

The statue of Grgur Ninski in Varazdin is one of three sculptures of this Croatian bishop; one is in Split and one in Nin. Ivan Mestrovic, a famous Croatian artist, made the sculpture and gave it to the city of Varazdin in 1931.

This statue has that communist era bold statement look about it but also some old time superstition which involves rubbing the toe for luck or something like that!

A sub par statue in the middle of the city square. It's okay to take photos next to, and is in the middle of a LOT of Ingress portals if you're into that sort of thing, but other than that, you won't miss anything if...More
