Was staying in nearby Porec (about an hour on a bus north of Rovinj) and did a day trip to the city. It's absolutely stunning and charming. Lots of rambling old houses going up the hill, which is crowned by the Basilica Euphemesia (probably spelt...More

The port is a popular spot in Rovinji with lots of boats of all kinds , many with fisherman bringing in their catch to the surrounding restaurants. Great place to sit on a bench with an ice cream and people watch!

Excellent port town, full of narrow streets, reminiscent of such places as Naples. Crammed with bars and restaurants. Should imagine it would get crowded in the summer. The walk up to the Catholic church is not strenuous but the views are superb. All sorts of...More

The hotel which we stayed was just in front of the port. The view of the port was so beautiful and you may take a very good picture of the old town from the port

The port of Rovinj is well worth a stroll as it leads you to the old town and this is where the action is. Plenty of restaurants just waiting for you to come and try their food as you wander along the boardwalk. The cobblestone...More

Altogether an excellent place to visit. There is the lovely Old Medieval Town, with a maze of narrow streets, topped by a spectacular church. Then there is the harbour, crammed with boats and surrounded by endless fish restaurants. Loads of opportunities to hire a boat,...More

Beautiful views of the islands and church spire. Relaxing spot with picturesque views of the boats and plenty of spots to eat and drink.

What a great place to spend some time just watching all the activity or strolling around peeking in shops. It's a colorful and sense-filled experience you won't be able to miss. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful destination. The bars and cafes, and food outlets are amazing. You could spend a good few days and still not see all the little places. I would certainly go there again.

Yes every day. It stretches for a very long way. Can't remember where we picked it up, but it ends near the harbour. My wife bought me a great leather wallet...pennies instead of a mortgage. Have a great time

There are loads of options from the harbour that includes an island hopping ferry, night tours, glass bottom boats and you can also hire motor boats. It's just s matter of preference and how much time you have.
