Pretty Little Island

Kosljun is a pretty little island reached by boat from Punet Bay. The island is peaceful with very few tourists. There is a monastery and a museum. Overall, a pretty relaxing trip

Košljun is a nice little island. It is so close to Punat that better swimmers can swim there. You can find cheap ride with a boat for younger and older. It is possible to walk around or to find a shadow for you. Main attraction on the island is a monastery. You need to pay the entrance fee for the... More

This small island which houses a monastery, can be reached by boat - water taxi from Punat is only a couple of pounds each way. You can walk all around the island and there are lots of interesting plants which attract lots of wildlife

Short boat drive takes you to this beautiful small island with lots of things to see there. 2 small but very nice museums, for me the most impressive was money collection from all around the world and from different periods. Lovely church and very nice park around it. Definetly worth seeing if you are on Krk island

So... Once you are in Punat look for any boat, making transfers to Kosljun (even if it looks expensive - private - it is not like that, 20 kunas per person to go there and back). After short ride you land on this tiny island and even if you would like just to walk around (unspoiled nature, pine trees), you... More

This small green islet is accessible by a short ferry ride. It is home to a Franciscan monastery with only 3-4 monks for most of the year. There is a library which holds over 300000 books, some of which are ancient texts. There is also a museum which contains local costumes over the ages, & a Cabinet of Wonders which... More

It was such a short boat ride, but such a great place with a lot of historical information. It was great to see what they wore, what the ancient lettering was all about as well.

It doesn`t cost much, but it is worth visiting if you are exploring island Krk. Ferry boat ride is short, entrance fee only 20 kunas, and you can enjoy the monastery, museum and the nature of this small island. Check out the smallest prying book, one-eye lamb... other things explore by yourself. You need not more than 1 hour with... More

When you get to Punat, take the ferry boat ride over to Koslijun which is a small island that you can see from Punat's oceanfront. 20 Kuna is the price and it's well worth the 8 to 10 minute boat ride to get to this island that offers you a historic monastery, museum and a lovely small island waterfront walk.... It's a great adventure to explore the whole island even with children under 6. The museum is not too big to be boring, but be careful with the "Cabinet of wonders" which contains real goat embryos in glass jars - definitely not for kids. :) All in all, its a must see. The bad experience was the taxi. Be wiser... More
